HjälpmedelsCenter Väst started in 1995 with the help of contributions from the Technical Aid Institute (Hjälpmedelsinstitutet) and has been under the management of NHR (the National Organisation for the Neurologically Handikapped) for 10 years.
From January 2005 HMCV is run as an independent corporation.
The connection with NHR is kept through an an advisory group, with the chairman of NHR as one of the members.
The advisory group follows the business on a continual basis, and ensures that the direction towards the user´s needs and wishes for a safe and dignified transfer, which has been developed at HMCV, is being kept.
